Kim took her first yoga class in 1983 at the Lawrence Arts Center when she was a student at KU. She has taught at the Yoga Center since 2006.

Paulette Schwerdt

Paulette’s yoga journey spans nearly three decades, much of it right here at YCL. She has completed her RYT-200/RYT-500 certifications and continues to explore yoga with teachers like Yogi Charu and John Friend as time and opportunities allow.

Her goal is to create a supportive environment where students can explore their own mind/body/breath connections through basic poses focusing on core strength and restorative poses to quiet the mind. She is grateful to her own yoga teachers and the opportunity to be part of YCL as a teacher; it feels like “coming home”.
