Core and Restore

Core work (asanas focused on strengthening larger muscle groups and major joint mobility) during the first half of class, transitioning to restorative poses that still the body, quiet the mind and explore the mind/body/breath connection for the second half of the class. Great for those who seek both the core work that supports an active lifestyle, and plenty of time to appreciate the benefits restorative postures offer.

Iyengar Ageless

Gentle class for those who need additional help or prefer a slower pace. Suitable for older adults.

For those testing the water to move a bit beyond basics.

For the student who has had at the minimum, 8 weeks of Level l and is ready to move up.

Iyengar Yoga Basics 8 Week Series

This eight week series will introduce you to all the families of poses, and create some continuity and consistency in your practice.

In this series, you'll develop consistency and continuity in your practice - keystones for increased awareness and sensitivity in your day to day life.

Open Practice

This class is open to all YCL students who are multi class pass holders. It is an opportunity to practice on your own in our studio, with all our available resources at your fingertips. There will be a teacher present during these sessions who can answer questions as needed, or help guide you to create a sequence.

Pranayama

Pranayama is the yoga of breathing, of learning to lengthen and slow your breath, of connecting your breath and the rest of your body. In this class, you will learn poses to prepare your body for pranayama and specific pranayama practices that are part of the Iyengar tradition.

You must have at least six months of asana (pose) practice to take this class, or permission of the instructor.

This is a hybrid in-studio/Zoom class.
