The BKS Iyengar Yoga Center of Lawrence is dedicated to providing Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding communities with quality yoga instruction. Mr. Iyengar has kindly given us permission to name our center after him, and in return we are committed to teaching the Iyengar method.
The Yoga Center of Lawrence is located on the second floor of an historic building in downtown Lawrence. The studio integrates light hardwood floors with a combination of brick and wood-paneled walls in an open two-story, sun-filled space.
Our studio is fully equipped with props, including sticky mats; soft cotton blankets from India and Mexico; wood and foam blocks and wedges of many sizes and shapes; benches and back-bending supports; an Iyengar-designed trestler; and two walls with built-in ropes. Yoga books and props are also available for sale.
Margaret Carr and Jill Krebs serve as Co-Directors of the Yoga Center of Lawrence.
