Yoga Center teachers are preparing for or have achieved certification with the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States. They bring a wealth of experience to their classes, as well as a commitment to furthering their education through study with the Iyengars or with senior-level Iyengar instructors in the U.S. and abroad.
In addition to the advanced study of asanas and pranayamas, their training includes teaching methods, anatomy, and philosophy.

Margaret Carr is certified as an Iyengar instructor through the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the U.S. She has been a dedicated student and practitioner since 1986, and returned to India in February 2003 for her second trip to study with the Iyengars. Margaret is co-director of the Yoga Center of Lawrence.

Lisa Giroux is a non-practicing R.N. who has been studying and practicing yoga in the Iyengar tradition since 1995. She regularly attends workshops and teacher trainings with senior level Iyengar instructors. She has over 500 hours of study, including hours with B.K.S. and Geeta Iyengar in their teaching visits to the West. Email Lisa.

Holly Krebs has been practicing yoga for the last seven years, an experience that has inspired her to study massage therapy and become a certified Rolfer®. Her teaching is influenced by her interest in anatomy, physiology, holistic health, and increased body awareness. Holly is committed to yoga because of the profound effects it can have on one's physical, mental, and emotional health.

Jill Krebs has studied Iyengar yoga since 1990 and has taught for six years. She studies with senior-level teachers at every opportunity. Jill is co-director of the Yoga Center of Lawrence. Email Jill.

Kim Lacy is certified as an Iyengar instructor through the Iyengar National Association
of the United States. She has studied with the Iyengars in India and
with many senior teachers since 1986. Kim is deeply grateful for the
gift of yoga and wishes to share it with her students.
Rose Rousseau, whose early background was in dance, has studied yoga for the past ten years and taught for more than half that time. She is especially interested in making yoga accessible to a broad range of students, as well as encouraging its presence in their daily lives. Email Rose.

Anne Underwood began practicing yoga in 1981 and attends several senior-level Iyengar workshops each year. Anne has worked as a massage therapist since 1988. She credits her interest in bodywork to her yoga, and often uses her yoga training with her massage clients. Email Anne.
